🏁RACING TO READ🏁

2025 PARK VIEW WARRIORS

READ-A-THON

READ BOOKS. RAISE MONEY. WIN PRIZES.

Hey Warriors! Get ready to shift into high gear for Park View's 2025 Read-a-Thon! This year’s Racing to Read event kicks off on Monday, February 24!

The Read-a-thon promotes literacy, celebrates the joy of reading (for all ages and reading levels), and raises funds for our ongoing PTO “pit stop” programming!

Research shows that reading for just 20 minutes daily turbocharges vocabulary, general knowledge, critical thinking skills, and writing. It can also rev up mental health by decreasing stress and improving sleep!

We invite every student to commit to reading (or being read to) for at least 20 minutes each day from March 3rd to March 7th.

Parents and caregivers, please register your child here (or go to the home page and hit the register button, you should see a section under Fundraising Campaigns) and help them track their reading sessions during the Read-A-Thon. Share the excitement of our Racing to Read event by spreading the word to your family and friends through social media, emails, or texts using your student donation links. This fundraiser allows our students to earn exciting prizes for their reading achievements!

Registration is free, and we hope ALL STUDENTS will join this literary race. Collecting pledges is optional, so even if you choose not to, let's put the pedal to the metal and encourage our kids to read, read, read!

Our last day of the Read-a-thon, Friday, March 7 will be Dress Like a Book Character Day! Stay tuned for more information about Family Reading Night, activities and prizes.

100% of donations will fuel the Park View PTO and will be used to pay for field trips, buses, and enrichment activities for students in grades Pre-K-8. Please know that no amount is too small! Thank you for your support and let’s accelerate our love for books together!

Happy reading!
